Janice Judge Dee Scholarship
Born in Rochester, New York, Janice Judge Dee attended Utah State University where she received her bachelor's degree in English Education in 1954. She was active in Chi Omega sorority. After graduation she could not find a job teaching English at the high school level, so instead accepted a job teaching sixth grade in Clearfield, Utah, which she enjoyed very much. She also worked for Dupont Corporation in Wilmington, Delaware, for one year.
In 1956, Janice married William D. Johnston in Ogden, Utah. She is the mother of two daughters, Elizabeth and Jennifer, and two grandchildren, all of whom live in Washington State. In 1971, William passed away. Janice married Thomas D. Dee II in 1991. Janice and Thomas currently live in Ogden and are members of the Ogden Country Club.
An avid reader, Janice has a keen sense of humor and likes to play golf. She has been a member of Jr. League and American Association of University Women. The Janice Judge Dee Scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student majoring in literary studies who demonstrates academic achievement and financial need.
