Accessing the Courses

Utah State University (USU) offers a complete suite of on-line independent study Linguistics courses.  These courses are fully accredited and offer USU undergraduate credit which can be transferred to another institution or used in fulfillment of a USU undergraduate degree.

Courses are taught completely on-line.  Take them wherever you have a computer
Courses offer upper-division undergraduate credit which can be transferred to another college or university.  Use them to fulfill English, Anthropology, Education or other degree requirements or fulfill prerequisites for graduate admission.  Under some conditions, they can be used to fulfill breadth requirements for graduate degrees.
Courses are offered as independent study.  Enroll anytime and take as little or as much time (up to a year) as you need to finish.  There are no fixed class periods so work on them whenever is convenient for you.*

These courses are being offered continuously as Independent Study, so you can work any number of them into your schedule at your convenience.  Even more convenient is that you can take up to a year to complete each course.  (See the Course Descriptions page for information about suggested sequences.)
